I've spent two years in prison relaying stories sent by letters to a blogger about my crimes, arrests, and life in four Florida prisons, the Pinellas County Jail, juvenile detention and drug rehab. I'm sending a message to others not to make the same mistakes I did.

Second chance

By Josh 'J' Barberree (fellow inmate)

Choices are often times made not fully understanding the consequences we are to face once our five minutes of fame are gone.

But it's these very choices that give us the inner strength to stand tall and battle those things in life that seem to be a continuing weight to our being.

When we can look back on a situation and see what mistakes we made and use them for strength to overcome the negative forces that we deal with in our life, then we are the winners.

Don't let life choices be your downfall. Accelerate yourself toward change and know it's the second chance in life that will forever put us on top.
