I've spent two years in prison relaying stories sent by letters to a blogger about my crimes, arrests, and life in four Florida prisons, the Pinellas County Jail, juvenile detention and drug rehab. I'm sending a message to others not to make the same mistakes I did.

A Million Little Pieces

This is the book that inspired me to write about my experiences in this blog.

A Million Little Pieces is a controversial memoir that tells the story of a 23-year-old alcoholic and drug addict coping with treatment in rehab.

I highly recommend A Million Little Pieces and the sequel, My Friend Leonard, by James Frey.

I read both books here in jail a few months ago.

There's a third book, too, called Bright Shiny Morning, but I haven't read it yet.

James Frey's web site is at http://bigjimindustries.com/.
